Ashanti Shequoiya Douglas, also called Ashanti was born on October 13, 1980 at Glen Cove New York United States. Ashanti is a United States singer, songwriter, and actress. Ashanti was a teenager singer-songwriter and actress American, has been signed to Murder Inc. Records to release her debut album in 2002. Ashanti was featured in Fat Joe's What's Luv? Ja Rule's track, Always On Time and Fat Joe's What's Luv? First female artist to reach the top two positions in the United States, with Foolish at number one, and What's Luv? She was also featured on the Fat Joe's song What's Luv? as well as Ja Rule's Always on Time. The song sample she uses in the debut single Foolish was taken from DeBarge's with Me which was released in 1983. Her self-titled album first released in 2002 on Irv Gotti's Murder Inc. record label. The Declaration, Ashanti's fourth studio album, debuted on the 3rd of June, 2008. On the 16th of October Hey Baby (After the Club) was made available to radio and digital outlets. She appeared as a character in The Christmas in the City film and played Latasha in Army Wives. Aitch was an British rapper sampled her song Rock wit U for Baby on 10 March 2022.
