Katy Perry's support for the song Runaway via a blog post added to the musician's appreciation. Celebrate her birthday. Aurora Aksnes earliest musical memory is of finding an instrument in her attic and being awed by the music it could create. Jan Oystein Aksnes was her father. He urged her not to pursue music solely for fun or as a means of growing, but that she must take it seriously. As a result, she began to write her own music. As well as Bjork, she cites Leonard Cohen as an influence. To counter her mother's suggestion that her children shouldn't be trying to become famous with the songs she writes, but rather realize the importance of themselves and their impact on society. When she was six, she began to play the piano and at nine, started writing songs. This was not known to her family members until she was fourteen. Aurora was not a goal. Aurora claims she loves composing music. For her, music is the best method to experience anything.
