Ariel Gail

Professor Gail S. Goodman holds an Distinguished Chair in Psychology at the University of California Davis and is the director of its Center for Public Policy Research. She is widely acclaimed for pioneering the study of witness testimony by children and the eyewitness memory within legal contexts. Professor Goodman has published extensively, received many grants and has been awarded several international and national awards. She has provided consulting on research and policy for numerous government agencies and departments around the globe. Additionally, she provides consultant to the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center. (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center), of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She was a part of several professional associations, such as that of Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. (Divisions Experimental Psychology and Developmental Psychology Society for Child and Family Policies and Practice American Psychology Law Society Psychology of Women and Traumatic Stress 56) Professor. Goodman is a fellow of the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children as well as the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She is the former President of the American Psychological Association Divisions for Child and Family Policy and Practice Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Developmental Psychology.
